Tucked in between a scent shop and a clothing boutique on 3rd & Sweetzer sits Simplethings, a pleasant and sweet blend of uniquely delicious sandwiches, salads, and of course, the original dessert of Americana, pie. 

The sterile white backsplash tile and vintage inspired decor is offset by soft button padded benches in robin's egg blue, a wall of mirrors, and clear glass jugs of iced tea and lemonade. My choice of the pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel roll is the shop's #1 pick, and between the sweet peppers, lightly salted pretzel buns, and a BBQ sauce fit for Texas, I must agree that it must be hard to top. Pot pies with buttery crusts and salads topped with fresh dressing, also in line with Simplethings' Americana theme, are available on the menu. 

This is one sandwich shop that is an L.A. summer must.
