cinespia

In the summer months, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery shows screenings of old and new film favorites on the side of one of their buildings. A DJ spins pre-screening and post-screening. The movie starts at 8pm, but in order to get a decent seat on the massive lawn of Hollywood legends, we camped out in line a little after 5pm. We brought a picnic (chips, bean dip, chocolate bars, a bottle of red and a few extra brews), blankets, and the ol cam.

[a few hundred of the 3,000 still waiting for their turn to enter the gates]

[pre-gaming outside the gates]

[the movie was the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, one of CJ's favorite movies. No wonder the man loves his chocolate]

[evening follows dusk... almost showtime]
[post-movie: two thumbs up!]

Not a bad way to spend your Saturday summer night. $10 gets you in the movie, a seat amongst classic Hollywood stars and starlets, and with a BYOB policy, ya can't beat it.

There's only a few more weeks of summer left so head out to Cinespia soon! Next screening is September 4th: Out of the Past

 xoxo
