There's something about a charm bracelet that is just so nostalgic and timeless. I know, it seems like it would be quite the opposite. A grown woman wearing a colorful bracelet filled with charms is definitely a little unnerving but isn't the point of fashion to add a bit of surreal to take the edge off reality? In any case, if you can't wrap your head around the rainbow, Hermes and McQueen make some of the most classic (and expensive) charm bracelets around.
But again, as this is a piece best worn with dresses and denim shorts in tribute to carefree summers, the more colorful and fun, the better.
As long as it looks good, you're never too old for anything, ever.

swim swim swim: zimmerman summer '12

Summer is so close I can feel it every time I go out now. Once the SoCal temperatures hold at 80 degrees, I'm heading out to the beach! Unfortunately I'm not one with the ocean so usually a trip to the beach means surface activities: frisbees, magazines, lemonade, and naps. Which is why the Zimmerman summer collection is so perfect in my eyes. Delicate, almost lingerie like and perfect for land surfing. Especially loving the crochet bandeau top and the maxi print cover up.

This post has nothing to do with the obligatory Coachella posts that are going up frantically by bloggers around the country but rather just a snippet of what I'm gravitating towards as we grow nearer to summer. By Zoe has some amazing separates and I'm beginning to rethink the sweatpants as appropriate outerwear, especially teamed up with a tiny red leather jacket. It's a wonderful thing to live in a city that has warm days and chilled nights and I have a hunch that it's the sole reason I've embraced jacket collecting/hoarding. I'm pretty sure I'll never ever have enough. Maybe that's my weakness. Some girls it's bags (BagSnob), some girls it's shoes (Sea of Shoes). And for an odd ball, it's jackets.
